Our Inter-Continental Client seeks an Analytical and detail orientated National Procurement Manger to join their Team.
The successful candidate controls the National procurement of quality goods and services Locally and Internationally at the best prices, by applying strategic Procurement Principles.
Apply specific procedures to enable proper and timeous identification of order requirements.
Ensure that correct stock levels are maintained at all times and providing guidance and support to personnel (Storeman / Branches) in respect of specific procurement needs, stock and storekeeping applications
Ensure that the control processes of the procurement policy are in place and maintained
Procurement of parts and stock in line with Company Procurement policy and budget
Minimum Requirements
•Grade 12
•Purchasing Diploma or Higher
•Import Codes – Inka terms
•Freight forwarding and clearing an advantage
•5 years working experience at a medium to large organization
•Minimum of 6 - 7years practical experience in procurement and buying, including imports
•Minimum of 2 - 3 years in stock and stores control
•Managed a staff complement of not less than 5
•Must have negotiated rebates and first call agreements
•Must have compiled and analysed Management reports
•Ability to analyse and solve problems
•Knowledge and understanding of procurement regulations and requirements (Especially import)
•Knowledge of costing and pricing methodology and ability to perform comparative cost/benefit analysis
•Skilled in establishment of contractual arrangements of goods and services
•Ability to maintain automated and manual record keeping systems and processes
•Must have managed stores and personnel
Job Description
•Understand the procurement requirements based on the operational, maintenance and other needs of the business
•Ensure best prices Nationally on predetermined quality products
•Responsible for all of the procurement of the business from stationery to spares
•Analyse supplier proposals/quotations/agreements, financial reports and other data to assess the appropriateness of Supplier price quotations
•Review and interpret contract provisions to assess opportunities for cost efficiencies and reductions where feasible.
•Manage Suppliers and implement supplier / consignment agreements/rebates
•Measure supplier performance
•Maintain and authorize a National and preferred Supplier list and monitoring compliance
•Develop mutually beneficial relationships with new suppliers ensuring ongoing supply and maintain a competitive advantage
•Ensure Suppliers comply with BEE requirements
•Follow up outstanding orders with suppliers and communicate to relevant departments
•Handle and solve queries from/with suppliers
•Compile an approved price list and monitor invoices against prices negotiated / quoted
•Investigate, validate and reconcile supplier payment discrepancies
•Management stores personnel, setting of deliverables, training and development
•Ensure proper stock management and control procedures and processes are maintained
•Perform Stock counts, Stores and field vehicles
•Perform stock variance reconciliations and implement preventive measures
•Ensure all relevant import/shipping documentation is completed and adhere to requirements
•Ensure accurate information and products ordered
Salary: R60k - R80k CTC per month negotiable + benefits
